No booking required for Tulip Festival customers who are coming again.
From the 2nd to the 4th May we are opening for Pick Your Own Tulips. We have planted over 250000 tulip bulbs over 3 acres. We have planted 50 different varieties including Rhapsody of Smiles, Crystal Beauty, Uncle Tom, and Eagle Wings. There will be early bloomers, mid season and late season varieties. Throughout the season there will be a constant flow of tulips coming into full bloom.
Each tulip variety offers a distinct burst of colour, shape, and size, together creating a stunning, picturesque landscape.
Throughout the season there will be tulips in bud and tulips flowering, in early April the early varieties will be flowering and the later ones will be in bud.
You will be enveloped by the many colours of tulips as you stroll through the fields.
Bring the family to experience the beauty of nature and to unwind in our beautiful area of Yorkshire.
We will have 12 different photo opportunities around the field for you to capture the perfect moment and to create memories that will endure. Let the beauty of mother nature inspire your creativity.
Our new festival will include 5 main sections that have been split by 5 metre walkways enabling the best customer interaction in our field. These sections include two all seasons mix of bulbs have been planted to ensure that visitors have a wide range of tulips to explore.
There will be loads of fantastic and impressive photo opportunities and an observation wheel.
There will be wood fired pizzas and a bar
On selected day we will have live music.
These will be available for purchase on the day from our show field.
The tulip season is short so book early to ensure you get a ticket.
What dates are you open?
The tulip season varies every year so at the moment we are selling any day passes which means you can come on any day you choose throughout the festival. We will release the opening dates in early April when we know when the Tulips will be ready.
Do I need wellies?
It depends on the weather. If we have a dry spring you will not. If it has rained then the grass may be damp.
Can I pick the tulips?
From the 2nd to the 4th May you can pick tulips and pay for what you pick.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes on a lead. Do not let your dogs eat the tulips. They are poisonous to dogs if eaten.
Are tickets refundable?
No
Can tickets be changed?
Yes up to four days in advance subject to availability
Do children require tickets?
Yes but under twos are free.
Is it wheelchair friendly?
No
Is it suitable for prams and buggies?
On dry days yes it is but on wet days it may be more difficult.
Can I buy tickets on the day?
We are expecting it to sell out on weekends as we are limiting tickets. On weekdays we expect tickets to be available.
How long does it take?
It depends on you but most people will spend one to two hours enjoying the atmosphere.
