Lambing at Spilmans

Experience a true farming day out for all of the family to enjoy on a real working farm!

Running on selected dates throughout February half-term holidays, visit Spilmans and see what lambing time is like on our family run farm. Bring your little farmers to see newly born little lambs and learn all about this very special time of the year!

THERE WILL BE LAMBS BORN EVERY DAY ON THE FARM…

We have over 100 expectant mummy sheep ready to lamb!

These sheep, (we call them ewes), spent time in the field in the month of October finding their chosen mate! (You will hear the farmer call a boy sheep a Tup!)

Sheep can have up to 4 lambs sometimes, and so it will be a very busy half-term!

Listen to live farmer talks to discover fun facts about sheep and lambing.

MEET AND GREET WITH FARMERS JOSS & BOB!

Joss Spilman is in charge of our sheep flock on the family farm. He will be on farm, everyday to give educational talks, along with Bob our friendly shepherd. This is a great opportunity for all budding farmers (little and big!) to learn lots of interesting facts all about sheep and ask any questions to our real farmers!

VISIT THE FARM ANIMALS

We will also have some special farm animals guests at Spilmans Farm for you to see during your visit. Expect to see some very cute rare breed sheep, friendly alpacas and some chickens and ducks too!
